Ross Wylie posted fourth and third class positions in the latest rounds of the Dunlop Britcar Endurance Championship at Silverstone last Saturday (27 Apr). The Thornhill racer started the first race from the front row of the grid, led both one-hour races and set the outright fastest lap in Race 2 in the FF Corse Ferrari 488 Challenge the Scotsman shares with David Mason.
Ross commented: “I pulled out a good lead in both races before handing the car over to David who did a great job to bring the car home in fifth and third positions overall. I enjoyed and maximised every lap, in wet and dry weather conditions. I’m feeling at home now with the new 488 Challenge car and the FF Corse team have done a great job with the car too. It now looks like we will, after all, concentrate on the Britcar series as opposed to the GT Cup so it’s Brands Hatch next up in a few weeks, a venue that has been kind to me in the past.”
